Chevrolet continues its stranglehold on Egypt's commercial vehicle market in July 2026. The American brand kept a massive lead over its nearest rivals, according to mandatory vehicle insurance registration data.

July Numbers: A Stable Market

Total registered commercial vehicles last month hit 3,397 units. The drop from June was marginal — just 33 vehicles, a 0.96% decline. Chevrolet alone accounted for 2,425 vehicles, over 71% of the market. The sector is moving at a steady pace.

Model Year Breakdown: Newer Wins

Newer model years dominated the registrations. The 2027 model year led the pack with 2,399 units. It was followed by 2026 models at 765 units, then 2025 with 162 units. Older stock barely registered — just 52 units for 2024 and 19 for 2023. Chevrolet prices reflect sustained demand for fresh inventory.

Competitors: A Wide Gap

Mitsubishi took second place with 132 vehicles — a staggering 2,293 units behind the leader. Toyota ranked third with 130 units, while Mercedes came fourth with 86 units. Nissan settled for fifth with just 55 vehicles. The numbers paint a picture of total dominance. The gap is enormous.

This performance solidifies Chevrolet's position as the go-to choice for commercial transport in Egypt. The rush toward 2027 models signals a market leaning into new technology, while Chevrolet keeps its competitive edge — explaining its month-after-month reign. Mitsubishi and Toyota are trying to close the gap, but the road ahead remains long.
