The market is moving. Chevrolet topped the list of best-selling car brands in Egypt during May, capturing a 19% market share. That's a serious number. The American brand sold 3,176 vehicles, outperforming all rivals across segments, based on the latest report from the Egyptian Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).

Full ranking of top-selling brands

Chery secured second place with a 12% share, totaling 1,966 cars sold. The gap between first and second is clear. Nissan came in third at 11%, with 1,867 units. Hyundai ranked fourth with an 8% share, recording 1,402 cars. The competition is fierce.

Intense mid-table battle

MG followed in fifth place, also at roughly 8%, but it sold only 1,275 vehicles. Toyota earned a 7% share, moving 1,244 units. Changan appeared in seventh with a 5% share, selling 772 cars. King Long finished eighth at 3%, with 588 units. BAIC matched that 3% share but recorded 507 vehicles. Haval closed the top ten at 3%, with 490 cars sold. The numbers reveal an uneven distribution of market share.
