Chery Price Cuts in Egypt: Arrizo 5, Tiggo 4 Pro, and Arrizo 6 GT Get New Tags
GB Auto has announced price reductions on three locally assembled Chery models in Egypt: the Arrizo 5, Tiggo 4 Pro, and Arrizo 6 GT. Discounts range from EGP 10,000 to EGP 66,000 per trim, with the Tiggo 4 Pro receiving the largest cut. The Arrizo 5 2027 model dropped by EGP 50,000 across all trims, while the Arrizo 6 GT saw varying reductions between its two variants.
GB Auto, the official distributor of Chery in Egypt, has announced new price reductions on three of its locally assembled models this August. The cuts affect the Chery Arrizo 5, Tiggo 4 Pro, and Arrizo 6 GT, with savings ranging from EGP 10,000 to EGP 66,000 per trim.
The numbers tell a clear story. The Arrizo 5 2027 model sees a uniform EGP 50,000 reduction across its three trims, bringing the entry price down to EGP 680,000 from EGP 730,000. The mid-tier now sits at EGP 725,000, while the top variant drops to EGP 765,000 from EGP 815,000. This move aims to strengthen the sedan's position in the budget-conscious segment.
Tiggo 4 Pro Leads the Discount Drive
The biggest price drop belongs to the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, with reductions between EGP 61,000 and EGP 66,000. The base trim now costs EGP 899,000 instead of EGP 960,000, the second trim is priced at EGP 939,000. The range-topping version has fallen to EGP 999,000 from EGP 1,065,000. That gap gives the compact SUV a serious competitive edge.
The Arrizo 6 GT follows a different pattern, with the first trim receiving a EGP 30,000 discount to land at EGP 899,000. The second trim saw a smaller cut of EGP 10,000, settling at EGP 989,000 after previously retailing for EGP 1.06 million.
What Does This Mean for the Egyptian Market?
Chery's pricing strategy arrives amid intense competition among Chinese brands for buyers seeking value in Egypt's automotive market. Reducing prices on locally assembled models signals an attempt to boost sales volume and gain market share in a segment driven by practicality and affordability.
Will it work? The coming weeks will reveal the impact of these cuts on showroom traffic, especially as rivals continue pushing their own offers and financing programs. Price remains the decisive factor for most Egyptian car buyers, and a genuine reduction always shifts the needle.
