Traffic Congestion Hits October Bridge, Ring Road and Salah Salem: Today's Cairo & Giza Traffic Map

Scattered traffic congestion is gripping Cairo and Giza's main arteries this morning, with noticeable slowdowns across several key routes. Traffic services are deployed in major squares and thoroughfares to secure citizens, keep vehicles flowing, and guide drivers toward alternative roads.

October Bridge and Salah Salem Under Pressure

Heavy traffic volumes are being recorded on October Bridge at multiple sections, with a clear slowdown at the Mokattam ramp heading toward Salah Salem and the Autostrad. The numbers tell the story.

Salah Salem axis is witnessing moving congestion from Al-Azhar Park to Ferdous Bridge, while Nasr City, Heliopolis, Ain Shams, and Ghomra heading to Ramses all report relative delays, including at the Ramses intersection with El-Galaa Street.

Autostrad and Nile Corniche

The flow from the Citadel area toward Fustat wasn't faring any better, as visible traffic density appeared, while the Autostrad road from Monib toward El-Basatin saw a marked reduction in vehicle speed.

Nile Corniche recorded congestion in the Maadi area extending to the Ring Road, with slow movement on Qasr El-Aini Street. The scene repeats itself every morning.

Ring Road and New Cairo

High density is building on the Ring Road heading toward Monib and Maadi, while El-Marj Ring Road suffers severe crowding for those coming from the agricultural road toward the Peace Tunnel, and inside the tunnel itself for travelers entering Cairo from other governorates.

New Cairo didn't escape the gridlock either, with intermittent congestion on the 90th Street for traffic coming from the Ring Road toward Downtown. Abbas Bridge and University Bridge also logged heavy traffic heading toward Al-Messaha Square.

Giza: Faisal, Haram and Sudan Street Under Strain

Giza streets, including Haram, Bahar El-Azam, and the tourist Nile corniche, witnessed moving traffic congestion, with jams appearing at the Ring Road descent heading toward Upper Egypt as well as in Warraq and Mariouteya areas.

Faisal Street reported delays in the Tawabek district, while Sudan Street saw density extending from Cairo University to Boulaq and Imbaba. Patience is required.

Traffic authorities continue their deployment across main axes and squares to manage any emergency congestion and direct motorists to alternative routes whenever necessary.
