Egypt's Housing Minister Inspects Road Development in Badr City, Urges Fast Completion with High Quality

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an extensive field inspection tour to follow up on the development of major roads, axes, and entrances in Badr City. During the tour, the minister stressed the need to accelerate project implementation while fully adhering to the highest quality standards, aiming to enhance traffic flow efficiency and keep pace with the significant urban boom the city is experiencing.

Inspecting Improvements at Key City Entrances

Following an inspection of the housing project for workers relocating to the New Administrative Capital, the minister visited the development work at the Badr City entrance from the Cairo/Suez Road. The project includes implementing the surface asphalt layer, completing site landscaping on the central island, and trimming vegetation on both sides of the road. These efforts are designed to improve the overall appearance of the city's main gateway. The work is being executed by an integrated team of engineers and technicians under the supervision of the New Urban Communities Authority.

Upgrading Al-Horreya Road and Al-Mushir Ahmed Badawy Road

The minister also inspected the upgrading and efficiency enhancement work on Al-Horreya Road, which extends approximately 3.6 kilometers, along with monitoring the development of Al-Mushir Ahmed Badawy Road from the Russian University to the Industrial Ring Road, covering a length of 1.5 kilometers. These projects are part of a comprehensive plan to modernize the road network and main axes in Badr City. The primary goal is to improve traffic flow and reduce travel times for residents and visitors to the city. The roads under development experience high traffic density due to their importance as main arteries connecting the city with surrounding areas.

During her tour, the minister also focused on inspecting the upgrading of green spaces, the implementation of modern irrigation networks, and the cultivation of areas surrounding the city's entrances. The ministry aims to create an integrated and sustainable urban environment that achieves harmony between service elements and aesthetic components.

During the tour, the Minister of Housing directed the swift completion of all development work while ensuring full commitment to the highest quality standards in road construction, planting, and beautification works. She also emphasized the need to expand periodic maintenance programs for green spaces to ensure preserving the urban appearance and sustainability of the implemented projects. The minister affirmed that developing the entrances of new cities and main axes represents one of the fundamental pillars of the ministry's strategy to elevate the urban landscape.

The minister stressed the continuation of field follow-up for projects and the removal of any obstacles that might affect implementation rates, in line with the developmental and urban boom witnessed in new cities.
