'AS D 16' License Plate Ignites Auction at 750,000 EGP, Final Surprise Anticipated
A distinctive license plate has ignited Egypt's traffic auction, drawing attention with its powerful and prestigious letters, driving its price to 750,000 Egyptian pounds amid fierce competition among four bidders.
The plate, bearing the code 'AS D 16', has seen strong demand, with expectations of further price increases before the auction closes next Wednesday. Proceeds from the auction go to the 'Tahya Misr' Fund, which supports the Egyptian economy and social justice, aiming to improve the lives of large segments of the population.
The fund collaborates with state institutions, including government bodies, civil society, and the private sector, to finance social, health, and urban development projects, as well as economic empowerment initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups. Key areas of community protection include care for homeless children, rehabilitation services, debt relief for insolvent individuals, and food supply for those in need.
Interested bidders can visit the official auction website to participate.
