AMIC Report: Locally Assembled Car Sales Surge 29.8% in First 4 Months of 2026
The Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC) has reported a significant growth in locally assembled car sales during the first four months of the current year. Sales increased by 29.8%, reaching 21,282 units, compared to 16,392 vehicles in the same period of 2025.
Imported passenger car sales also saw an even sharper rise during the same timeframe, climbing by 61.4% to 28,335 vehicles, up from 17,555 units in the corresponding period last year.
