Alexandria Customs Auction Nets EGP 38.7M from 14 Lots
The figure is striking. Alexandria Customs' General Administration of Abandoned and Customs Sales closed a public auction session on Thursday, July 30, 2026, achieving a total revenue of EGP 38,679,000 from the sale of 14 diverse lots spanning vehicles and long-stored goods.
Auction Details and Venue
The session took place at the Civilization Club hall on Salah Salem Street, opposite Ain El-Seira traffic office, in coordination with the General Authority for Government Services. Private cars, motorcycles, and excavators dominated the vehicle list, alongside various goods that had been warehoused for extended periods.
Vehicle and Goods Breakdown
The five vehicle lots fetched EGP 6,057,000 — a sum reflecting current used-car market momentum in Egypt. The remaining nine lots of assorted goods generated a substantially larger figure of EGP 32,622,000, highlighting significant value diversity across categories.
What stands out is the brand range — Chevrolet, Porsche, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, Skoda, Rolls-Royce, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Land Rover, Daewoo, and Volvo — spanning passenger cars and heavy equipment including used Caterpillar excavators. The market is watching closely for upcoming auctions.
