3 New Locally Assembled SUVs to Launch in Egypt Within Days

The Egyptian automotive market is gearing up to welcome three new SUVs from Nissan, Hyundai, and Chevrolet during the third quarter of this year. All three models share the common trait of being locally assembled under the "Made in Egypt" banner, in partnership with their official distributors in the local market. Industry experts predict that these vehicles will heat up competition in the economy SUV segment, which has been witnessing growing demand among Egyptian consumers.

Nissan Magnite Launches on July 25

Nissan is set to launch the locally assembled Magnite on July 25. The Nissan Magnite is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 99 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. The Nissan Magnite measures 3,994 mm in length, 1,758 mm in width, and 1,572 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm and a ground clearance of 205 mm.

Hyundai Venue Official Debut on August 31

On August 31, the Hyundai Venue will make its official debut in Egypt, becoming the first locally assembled SUV for the Korean brand. Globally, the Hyundai Venue is available with multiple engine options, most notably a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated unit, both mated to manual or automatic transmissions depending on the trim and market. The Hyundai Venue comes with a 45-liter fuel tank, and its global fuel consumption averages between 5.5 and 6.5 liters per 100 km, depending on the engine and transmission combination.

Chevrolet Groove Arriving Soon

General Motors and its local distributor, Mansour Automotive, have not yet announced the official launch date for the locally assembled Chevrolet Groove. The Chevrolet Groove is expected to join the competitive economy SUV segment, offering Egyptian consumers more choices in the growing local market. These launches are part of broader efforts to localize the automotive industry in Egypt and expand domestic production to meet the rising demand for sport utility vehicles.
