Transport Distribution and JMCG Discuss Local Manufacturing Expansion and All-New Vigus Launch
Transport Distribution Company, the official distributor of JMC in Egypt, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Chinese JMCG Group, led by Mr. Qiu Tianguo, Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors. The visit reflects the depth of the strategic partnership between the two sides and marks a new step toward expanding local manufacturing, broadening the product portfolio, and supporting growth plans in the Egyptian market.
Reviewing Achievements and Expansion Plans
During the meeting, Engineer Al-Mustafa Abdel Halim, Chairman and Managing Director of Transport Distribution Company, highlighted the key achievements the company has accomplished over the past years. These included brand building, sales growth, enhanced local manufacturing, and an increased market share for the JMC brand in Egypt. Abdel Halim emphasized that the Chinese partner has played a pivotal role in supporting the company through various stages of its growth, expressing his aspiration to continue cooperation in the coming phase to achieve further successes and market expansion.
Chinese Support and Local Manufacturing Progress
For his part, Qiu Tianguo praised the results achieved by the company in the Egyptian market, particularly regarding brand development and the expansion of local manufacturing. He reaffirmed JMCG Group's commitment to providing full technical and technological support, especially in quality areas that represent a key competitive factor in the automotive industry. The discussions between the two sides focused on three main pillars: strengthening local manufacturing, expanding the product portfolio offered in the Egyptian market to meet customer needs, and discussing plans to launch the third generation of the All-New Vigus pickup truck, which both sides hope will bolster the brand's market position.
Supply Chain Challenges and Growth Strategies
The meetings also featured extensive discussions on local manufacturing, the challenges facing supply and procurement chains amid the economic and political changes in the region, as well as mechanisms to enhance logistics efficiency and ensure production continuity according to the highest quality standards. Abdel Halim confirmed that all models introduced by the company have achieved a strong presence in the Egyptian market, both in the pickup truck segment and in light and medium-duty trucks, most notably the Carrying Plus, which offers diverse transport solutions to meet various customer needs.
Shift Toward New Energy Vehicles
Abdel Halim added that the company is studying the expansion of offering new energy vehicles, given the expected growing demand in the Egyptian market. He pointed to the introduction of the EV Touring model, which provides advanced solutions for customers in this category. In turn, the Chairman of JMCG Group expressed his confidence in the company's ability to continue its growth and achieve further successes in the Egyptian market, reaffirming continued full support from the Chinese side to realize the goals of expansion and local manufacturing.
