Soueast Secures Energy Efficiency Rating Card in Egypt, Complying with M1 Standard
Soueast has secured the energy consumption efficiency and emissions rating card issued by the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality. The announcement came through Man East, the exclusive dealer for the brand in the Egyptian market, placing Soueast among the first brands to obtain this card for its vehicles.
The Handover and Adopted Standard
The card was handed over at the headquarters of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, where Mahmoud Gamie, CEO of Man East, received it from Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem. This step reflects the company's commitment to applying the highest quality standards in line with the Egyptian and European standard for the energy efficiency and emissions rating card for new vehicles under category M1.
What Does the Card Mean for Consumers?
The primary goal is to provide clear and unified information about vehicle performance, enabling consumers to compare different models based on reliable data. The card also specifies procedures and methods for measuring indicators of fuel or energy consumption efficiency, specific fuel consumption, emissions, and driving range without refueling.
The card encourages the selection of vehicles with higher fuel or energy efficiency and lower emissions, which contributes to reducing fuel consumption and operating costs, cutting vehicle emissions, and supporting environmental preservation efforts and air quality improvement.
Soueast's Commitment to Quality and Transparency
Obtaining this card embodies Soueast's commitment to offering cars that comply with Egyptian standard specifications, combining quality, safety, modern technology, and energy efficiency. This enhances customer trust in the brand and provides them with clearer information to help choose the most suitable vehicle for their needs.
On this occasion, Mahmoud Gamie, CEO of Man East, said: "We are proud that Soueast has become among the first car brands in Egypt to obtain the energy efficiency rating card, which affirms our commitment to delivering high-quality products that align with global standards and serve the needs of the Egyptian market."
