Soueast Secures Energy Efficiency Certification in Egypt
Mansour Automotive's exclusive Soueast distributor, Man East, has announced that the brand's vehicles now carry the official energy efficiency and emissions rating card. The certification comes from the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, positioning Soueast among the first automotive brands in the local market to receive this official documentation.
Official Handover Ceremony
The card was officially handed over at the headquarters of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality. Mahmoud Gamal, CEO of Man East, received it from Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem. This move underscores the company's commitment to implementing the highest quality standards, in line with the Egyptian and European standard specification for the energy efficiency and emissions rating card for new M1 category vehicles.
The specification sets unified criteria for evaluating vehicle performance, covering fuel or energy consumption efficiency, specific fuel consumption, internal combustion emissions, and driving range without refueling. It also includes a relative assessment of vehicle performance compared to the reference limits stated in the specification, giving consumers a transparent picture of each model's efficiency.
What This Means for Buyers
The card aims to provide clear and standardized information about vehicle performance, enabling consumers to compare different models based on reliable data. These details help in making more informed purchasing decisions, while also defining the procedures and measurement methods for fuel or energy efficiency indicators, specific fuel consumption, emissions, and driving range. This reinforces transparency principles in the Egyptian market.
The certification encourages choosing vehicles with higher fuel or energy efficiency and lower emissions. This approach contributes to reducing fuel consumption and operating costs, cutting vehicle-related emissions. Supporting environmental conservation efforts and air quality improvement. The Soueast certification reflects the brand's commitment to offering vehicles meeting European standard specifications, strengthening trust in the Chinese marque within the Egyptian market.
This achievement adds significant momentum to Soueast's journey in Egypt, especially with growing consumer interest in energy efficiency amid rising global fuel prices. It also grants the brand a competitive edge in a market witnessing increasing demand for economical vehicles with lower environmental impact.
