Karim Shehata, Sales and Marketing Director at Man East, the exclusive distributor of Soueast in Egypt, confirmed that the brand has achieved a strong launch in the Egyptian market in a short period of just 11 months. Shehata pointed out that more than 10,000 cars have been sold since the official start of the brand's activities, reflecting broad acceptance among Egyptian consumers for the new vehicles offered by the company.

A Strong Start in the Egyptian Market

Shehata explained that Soueast has managed, since its first month of launch in Egypt, to rank among the top 10 best-selling car brands in the local market, despite fierce competition from brands with a long history of presence. He added that the brand has maintained its position within the top ten on a monthly basis throughout the past 11 months, with greater ambitions to strengthen its position in the coming period. He noted that the company does not view what has been achieved as a ceiling for success, but rather as a launchpad for greater growth opportunities in the Egyptian market, stressing that the Egyptian customer deserves more options and modern technologies.

Ambitious Plans to Launch 6 New Models

Shehata added that Soueast is preparing to launch 6 new models over the next three years, explaining that these models have been developed to suit the needs and requirements of the Egyptian consumer. He emphasized that the company is betting on the latest smart mobility technologies, most notably plug-in hybrid technology developed under the name DM-i, which will be introduced in the two new models S06 and S08 DM-i.

DM-i Hybrid Technology: Powerful Performance and High Efficiency

Shehata explained that the DM-i technology offers a balanced blend of powerful performance and high efficiency, delivering over 350 horsepower and more than 500 Nm of torque, rivaling or surpassing the performance of many cars equipped with six-cylinder engines, while achieving lower levels of energy and fuel consumption. He pointed out that the DM-i system primarily relies on the electric motor to move the car, while the gasoline engine charges the battery when needed or contributes additional power during high-performance driving, ensuring a smooth driving experience and high operational efficiency.

Fuel-Efficient and Environmentally Friendly

Shehata confirmed that the new technology achieves extremely economical fuel consumption rates, especially when driving at high speeds, with an average consumption of about 5 liters per 100 kilometers. He added that the car is equipped with an energy recovery system during deceleration or braking, which helps recharge the battery and maximize energy utilization. These ambitious plans from Soueast come at a time when the Egyptian market is witnessing growing interest in hybrid and electric vehicles, enhancing the brand's chances of solidifying its position and expanding its customer base.
