ROX Begins Manufacturing in Abu Dhabi: First 3 ROX ADAMAS Cars Roll Off with Made in UAE Label

ROX has started local production of its vehicles in Abu Dhabi after completing its advanced AI-powered manufacturing center in Khalifa Economic Zones (KEZAD). The first three ROX ADAMAS cars rolled off the production line carrying the Made in UAE label. This move is part of a broader plan to localize the company's operations in Abu Dhabi, including manufacturing, supply chains, technology. Design, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and under the Make it in the Emirates initiative and the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Project 300 Billion).

Ambitious Production Capacity Starting with 20,000 Cars

The new manufacturing center spans nearly 10,000 square meters within KEZAD. ROX aims to reach an initial production capacity of around 20,000 cars annually by 2027. The ambition doesn't stop there, as the company plans to gradually increase capacity to around 300,000 cars annually by 2030. Production will serve the UAE market and export to regional and international markets.

More Than Just Final Assembly

The center includes sub-assembly operations for over 80 types of vehicle components, along with final assembly, calibration, water and road tests, and pre-delivery inspection. This reflects the company's direction to carry out a larger share of manufacturing stages inside Abu Dhabi rather than limiting itself to final assembly only. Production began after an agreement announced by ROX and KEZAD in May 2026 to establish an advanced manufacturing center based on AI technologies, as part of the company's plans to turn Abu Dhabi into a main base for its industrial and technological operations in the region.

AI Center and Design Studio

Alongside the start of manufacturing, ROX opened an AI LAB and design studio in Abu Dhabi, bringing manufacturing, AI technology development, and design together under one ecosystem. The AI center is expected to work on developing the ROX AGENT AI platform, while the design studio includes teams from the UAE, China, and other markets to work on future vehicles.

First UAE-Designed Car in 2027

The company plans to reveal in Abu Dhabi in March 2027 the first car designed in the UAE, called the Abu Dhabi Edition, featuring elements inspired by Emirati culture. This step strengthens ROX's position as a brand seeking to localize technology and design, not just manufacturing. The UAE market is preparing for a new phase of local car manufacturing.
