Official Visit to Boysen Egypt Plant Highlights Local Automotive Exhaust System Manufacturing

Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly visited the Boysen Egypt plant, a facility specialized in automotive exhaust treatment systems. During the visit, Madbouly emphasized the government's strong commitment to the automotive industry, its components, and supporting supplier sectors, highlighting ongoing efforts to localize vehicle manufacturing and build a major industrial base capable of attracting leading global companies.

The Prime Minister also underscored the growing focus on electric vehicles as part of Egypt’s strategy to expand the use of clean energy sources and reduce reliance on conventional fuels, supporting long-term industrial and environmental goals.

Government Support for Automotive Localization

The Minister of Industry stated that the government is prepared to offer exceptional incentives to any global automaker that chooses to localize its manufacturing operations in Egypt. He noted that Boysen Egypt is among the specialized automotive component manufacturers, particularly in exhaust systems and emission treatment technologies, providing quality products that support local production and reduce dependence on imported components.

According to the minister, the plant also plays an important role in strengthening Egypt’s automotive supplier industry and expanding domestic manufacturing capabilities.

29 Exhaust System Variants and Global Partnerships

Ehab Awad, CEO of Boysen Egypt, explained that the company specializes in manufacturing exhaust silencers and complete exhaust systems. He revealed that the company currently maintains 10 valuable partnerships with global brands and is working to establish additional successful collaborations in the future.

Awad added that Boysen Egypt currently offers 29 different exhaust system variants and aims to further expand its product portfolio to serve the automotive sector.

Sales Growth and Expansion Plans

The company’s workforce has grown from 43 employees in 2019 to 90 employees in 2026. Boysen Egypt also reported sales of EGP 810 million in 2025, up from EGP 320 million in 2023.

Sales are expected to exceed EGP 1 billion during the current year, while the company targets EGP 1.334 billion in sales by 2028. At the same time, Boysen Egypt is continuing factory expansion projects under the National Automotive Industry Development Program, which aligns with the Ministry of Industry’s vision to build a competitive automotive manufacturing base, deepen local production, attract global investment, and strengthen Egypt’s automotive supplier ecosystem.
