Nissan Regional VP: Local Content in Magnite Exceeds 55%, Egyptian Industry Proves Strong
Jordi Vila, Regional Vice President of Nissan for Europe, Africa, After-Sales, and Brand, confirmed that the assembly of the Nissan Magnite in Egypt represents a model of regional industrial excellence and fully aligns with Nissan's global standards.
Vila's remarks came during a tour led by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly at the Nissan Egypt plant in 6th of October City. The tour was attended by Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; Engineer Khalid Hashim, Minister of Industry; Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza; Fumio Iwai, Japanese Ambassador to Egypt; and Engineer Mohamed Abdel-Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Africa.
Vila stated that the local content ratio in the locally produced Nissan Magnite has exceeded 55%, describing this as an advanced benchmark for local manufacturing and a testament to the Egyptian industry's ability to meet global production requirements.
He added that the project's success highlights the strength of Egypt's local supplier network and component manufacturers, reaffirming Nissan's commitment to supporting industrial localization plans and increasing local added value.
