Nissan Africa CEO: New Model to Replace Sentra in Egypt Coming Soon

Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Egypt and CEO of Nissan Africa, announced that the company is preparing to launch an all-new model in the Egyptian market as a direct replacement for the locally assembled Nissan Sentra family sedan. The statement was made during his participation in the Al-Ahram Transport Vehicles Exhibition 2026 in Cairo, where he confirmed that the new model is not the "Magnite," as previously rumored, but a different vehicle that will also be manufactured locally.

Local Manufacturing and Export Strategy

Abdel Samad explained that the new replacement will be built on a modern platform and assembled at Nissan's Egyptian facilities, reinforcing the company's strategy to deepen local automotive manufacturing. He emphasized that Nissan continues to expand its production footprint in Egypt, aiming to transform the country into a regional export hub. Currently, Nissan Egypt exports approximately 25,000 vehicles annually, a figure expected to grow in the coming period as part of the company's commitment to supporting Egypt's automotive industry localization efforts.

Current Nissan Sentra 2027 Specifications and Price

While the market eagerly awaits the new model, the Nissan Sentra 2027 remains available in Egypt with a single Highline trim, priced officially at EGP 1,050,000. The sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 118 horsepower and 154 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Dimensions and Safety Features

The Sentra features a body length of 4.61 meters, a wheelbase of 2.70 meters, a width of 1.76 meters, and a height of 1.49 meters, with a generous 510-liter trunk capacity. The vehicle comes equipped with a standard set of safety features appropriate for its family sedan segment.
