Nissan officially opened its latest showroom in Damietta, pushing the brand's Egyptian network to 47 sales and service points. Eng. Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Africa, confirmed the expansion aligns with the company's strategy to get closer to customers in underserved regions. The new facility represents an investment exceeding EGP 100 million, developed in partnership with AMG Motors Group.
A Major Investment Targeting Damietta's Growing Market
EGP 100 million. That's the scale of investment AMG Motors poured into what is now one of the largest certified automotive facilities in the city. Abdel Samad highlighted the project's speed, noting construction and furnishing were completed in just seven to eight months. Such rapid execution, he said, reflects the strength of the collaboration between the Japanese automaker and its local partner. Damietta was chosen for its strategic importance to Nissan's growth plans in the region.
What does this mean for customers? A fully integrated experience blending modern sales techniques with comprehensive after-sales support. The branch is equipped with the latest technology to enhance customer service and meet their demands more efficiently, according to Abdel Samad. The focus is squarely on elevating the ownership experience in this key coastal province.
Nissan Egypt's Network: Growing Numbers, Bigger Ambitions
Forty-seven showrooms and service centers now span most of Egypt's governorates under the Nissan Egypt umbrella. But the expansion story is far from over. Abdel Samad revealed that additional openings are scheduled for 2026, reinforcing that the current strategy goes beyond launching new branches. The company continuously studies available investment opportunities and keeps pace with the Egyptian market's evolving dynamics.
The ambition is unmistakable. Nissan aims to strengthen its local presence through a more robust distribution network and wider service coverage. "Opening a new branch today isn't the end of the road," Abdel Samad stated, "we have other openings planned for next year, and we will keep improving our network and services to build lasting customer trust."
Abdel Samad concluded by thanking the AMG Motors team, Nissan staff. Everyone involved in the project's execution. He emphasized that the success of such ventures depends on the integrated efforts of all parties and success partners. The company, he stressed, remains committed to investing in its distribution and service network across Egypt to secure customer confidence and deepen the brand's footprint in the local market.
