Nissan Egypt has secured six prestigious awards and honors at the Egypt Car of the Year Awards 2026 ceremony, reaffirming the Japanese brand's leadership in the local market. This achievement underscores the depth of the company's strategy, which focuses on enhancing product quality and delivering an integrated customer experience, solidifying Nissan's position among the top automotive brands in Egypt.

Market Share Dominance and Continued Leadership

The awards results highlight Nissan's superiority in the Egyptian market, with the company winning first place in passenger car market share. Meanwhile, the Nissan Sunny retained its position as the best-selling sedan in the economy category, reflecting the strong consumer trust this model has earned over the years. This success, built on customer confidence, clearly demonstrates Nissan's ability to meet the needs of the Egyptian market.

Category Awards: Qashqai and Patrol Shine

Extending this success, and based on the comprehensive market survey results adopted by the ceremony, the Nissan Qashqai won the Best SUV Crossover in its class, while the Nissan Patrol claimed the title of Best Luxury SUV. This achievement highlights Nissan's capability to meet the aspirations of diverse consumer segments, driven by strategic moves taken over the past year, including introducing the Qashqai with third-generation e-POWER technology and launching the all-new Nissan Patrol in the local market.

Regional Expansion and Local Manufacturing Excellence

On the regional and executive levels, Nissan won the Excellence Award for its prominent role in supporting manufacturing and creating new markets within Africa for cars produced at its Egyptian plant. The factory's exports have surpassed the 25,000-vehicle mark, strengthening its position as a regional hub for manufacturing and exporting passenger cars to African markets. This industrial success reflects Nissan's commitment to developing local industry and boosting Egyptian exports.

Leadership Recognition: Person of the Year

These achievements culminated in Engineer Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Africa, receiving the Person of the Year award in recognition of his visionary leadership and contributions to driving the company's growth and expanding its operations regionally and locally. Commenting on this achievement, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Samad said: "We are proud that Nissan has received these prestigious awards, which reflect customer trust in our brand and strengthen our leading position in the Egyptian market with the largest passenger car market share for three consecutive years. This recognition is the result of a sustainable strategy based on innovation, quality, local manufacturing, expanding export operations, and close cooperation with our successful partners among distributors and suppliers."
