Kia Opens Africa's First Dedicated EV Showroom in Egypt, Unveils New EV6 and PV5 Variants

Kia Egypt has officially inaugurated the first dedicated electric vehicle showroom in Africa, marking a significant milestone in the brand's expansion of sustainable mobility solutions in the local market. Ahmed Sabry, Sales Director at Kia Egypt, confirmed that this move is part of a broader strategy to accelerate EV adoption and bring cutting-edge global technologies to Egyptian consumers.

Sabry described the opening as more than just the launch of a new dealership—it represents the first specialized EV showroom on the African continent. He emphasized that this achievement highlights Egypt's growing importance in Kia's regional plans, as well as the global brand's confidence in the local market's ability to embrace the latest electric vehicles and advanced technologies.

Two New Variants: Kia EV6 and Kia PV5

The showroom opening coincided with the launch of two new variants of the Kia EV6 and Kia PV5 models, which were already introduced in Egypt. Sabry noted that these new versions offer customers a wider range of choices to suit different needs, whether they are performance enthusiasts or those seeking a versatile electric vehicle for both work and leisure.

Kia EV6 GT: Blistering Performance and Advanced Tech

The Kia EV6 GT targets driving enthusiasts who crave powerful performance. It combines robust power with advanced technology and cabin comfort. The car is equipped with an electric powertrain producing 640 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h.

Fast-Charging Battery and Impressive Range

The EV6 GT comes with an 84 kWh battery pack that delivers an estimated driving range of approximately 450 kilometers on a single charge, suitable for daily commutes and long trips. It also supports 350 kW ultra-fast charging technology, allowing the battery to be charged in about 18 minutes, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing usability.

Luxurious Cabin and Advanced Safety Systems

Sabry highlighted that the interior of the EV6 GT Package is designed to offer a comprehensive driving experience, using premium materials along with a suite of modern technology and driver-assistance systems. These features enhance both comfort and safety during every journey.

Regarding the second model, Sabry explained that the Kia PV5 provides a practical, multi-purpose solution with a spacious interior and the flexibility to adapt to various daily and professional activities. It is built on an advanced electric platform that balances performance and efficiency, making it an ideal choice for families and business owners alike.
