JMC Distributor Plans to Launch New Vigus Generation and Electric Trucks in Egypt
A high-level delegation from the Chinese JMCG group, led by its Chairman Mr. Qiu Tienjo, recently visited Egypt. The delegation's main destination was Transport Distribution Company, the local distributor of JMC vehicles in the country, where a series of intensive meetings and discussions were held.
Local Manufacturing and Production Expansion
The talks between the two parties focused on strengthening local manufacturing operations for JMC cars and trucks in Egypt. The plan aims to increase the number of locally offered products to meet the growing demand in the Egyptian market, while working on introducing the third generation of the company's pickup trucks from the Vigus models, marking a significant shift in the light truck segment.
Addressing Supply Chain Challenges
The discussions specifically concentrated on the local production of JMC trucks in Egypt and the challenges the company faces in the local market, particularly those related to component supply chains amid the changing conditions in the Middle East region. Both sides explored ways to improve logistics operations efficiency to ensure uninterrupted and smooth production.
New Energy Trucks on the Horizon
The company in Egypt is also seeking to introduce new energy trucks as demand for them increases in the Egyptian market. The plans include launching the EV Touring electric models as part of the company's strategy to expand into sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions, which will strengthen JMC's presence in the light commercial vehicle segment in Egypt.
