Qi Zhaodong, President of global automotive brand Jetour, has confirmed that the Chinese company is strengthening its presence in the Egyptian car market through ambitious expansion plans. He revealed that Jetour successfully sold over 10,000 vehicles in Egypt during 2025, highlighting the strategic importance of the Egyptian market within the Middle East and Africa.

New Models from Jetour and SouEast in Egypt

Qi Zhaodong stated that the Jetour Group, which includes multiple brands such as SouEast, will introduce new models in Egypt in the coming period as part of its expansion strategy. He noted that the company is specifically working on expanding local manufacturing for the SouEast brand in Egypt while launching new models, describing Egypt as one of the largest markets in the region with significant growth potential.

Egypt Well-Positioned to Attract Automotive Investments

The Jetour President emphasized that Egypt could become a key hub for supporting automotive manufacturing and exporting vehicles to African and nearby Arab markets. He pointed out that the Egyptian market has strong qualifications to attract investments, supported by the development of automotive infrastructure and the availability of free trade agreements that enhance competitiveness in the industry.

Egypt as a Gateway to African Markets

Qi Zhaodong stressed that Africa represents one of the most promising markets for Jetour and SouEast sales growth worldwide. He confirmed that the company aims to establish a strong presence across African markets through manufacturing in Egypt and expanding from there, considering the country as the gateway to the continent.
