General Motors Grants 75 Egyptian Teachers International Robotics Certificate

Seventy-five Egyptian teachers have earned a certified credential from WRO Learn, affiliated with the World Robot Olympiad, after completing the 'Empowering Teachers' program organized by Tanweer Foundation for Life Skills Development in partnership with General Motors Africa and the Middle East. The program reached over 5,000 students across government and girls' schools, covering four core technology tracks.

General Motors Invests in Education as It Marks a Century in the Region

The program is fully funded by General Motors as part of its strategy to support education, women, and local talent investment, coinciding with the company's celebration of 100 years of operations in the region, which began in Alexandria. The move signals a clear commitment to community responsibility alongside its automotive market activities in Egypt.

Training Content: From Traditional Classrooms to Computational Thinking

The program focused on three groups of teachers from different subject areas, with Tanweer delivering an integrated model for transitioning from traditional teaching methods to technology-driven education and computational thinking. The training included four main pillars: virtual labs and computational thinking, artificial intelligence and programming, the AiDU educational platform for reducing administrative burdens and increasing classroom engagement, and a certified credential from WRO Learn under the World Robot Olympiad in leadership and innovation.

Mentorship Sessions from GM Leaders to Build Leadership Presence

The program went beyond technical skills, incorporating group mentorship sessions led by General Motors leaders to develop communication, presentation, and pitching abilities, preparing teachers for graduation projects and building their leadership presence inside and outside the classroom.
