General Egypt is taking part in the Commercial Transport Expo 2026, held from June 18 to 20 at the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, where the company is displaying its latest commercial mobility solutions under the Shineray brand. The exhibition lineup also includes a range of locally assembled models that highlight the company’s growing manufacturing capabilities and its expanding role within Egypt’s commercial vehicle sector.

Focus on Local Manufacturing and Industrial Growth

The company’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at localizing automotive production and increasing reliance on domestically manufactured vehicles. General Egypt is showcasing models produced in Egypt with a local content ratio exceeding 50%, underscoring the progress achieved in local manufacturing and demonstrating the ability of the national automotive industry to deliver competitive products with strong quality and efficiency standards.

This strategy aligns with the company’s broader objective of strengthening the commercial transport sector through a diverse portfolio of vehicles tailored to the needs of businesses and various commercial activities. Through its strategic partnership with Shineray SWM, General Egypt continues to expand its presence in the market while offering practical and reliable transportation solutions.

Expansion Strategy and Future Product Launches

According to MP Nashaat Heta, Chief Executive Officer of General Egypt, the company’s participation in the Commercial Transport Expo 2026 reflects its ongoing efforts to localize vehicle manufacturing and increase local content ratios in line with the government’s vision to support domestic industry and deepen local production.

Heta stated that the company has successfully enhanced its production capabilities and upgraded its assembly lines over the past period. These developments have contributed to increasing local content levels across several models produced for the Egyptian market. He added that expanding the lineup with new models and further strengthening local manufacturing remain key pillars of the company’s future strategy.

Shineray X30 Double Cargo Set for Local Launch

As part of its latest expansion plans, the company revealed the new Shineray X30 Double Cargo, which will join its commercial vehicle range. The model is scheduled for local introduction at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2026 and will feature a local content ratio of 62%.

The new vehicle offers seating for five passengers alongside a practical cargo area, making it a suitable solution for companies and business owners seeking to transport both people and goods efficiently. Heta also confirmed that General Egypt is currently working on expanding its automotive portfolio through the addition of new products, reinforcing its long-term growth plans and commitment to serving the evolving needs of the Egyptian commercial transport market.
