Ezz Elarab Elsewedy Targets 25,000 Vehicles in 2027 with 150% Growth

Ezz Elarab Elsewedy Group aims to manufacture 25,000 vehicles in 2027, a 150% increase from the estimated 10,000 units expected by the end of 2026. Mohamed Saleh, CEO of the group in Egypt, confirmed the target.

Ambitious Expansion in Local Manufacturing

The number is striking. Proton is currently the only brand produced at the company's 6th of October City plant, but ambitions go far beyond that in the coming years. The group plans to boost production capacity across its various factories to reach 40,000 vehicles within just three years.

Local Content to Rise to 58%

On the localization front, Ezz Elarab Elsewedy currently achieves 42% local content and aims to raise it to 58% in the near future. This move aligns with a broader strategy to deepen local manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports.

Strategic Partnership Since 2023

Ezz Elarab Group established a partnership with Elsewedy Group in 2023, resulting in the creation of Ezz Elarab Elsewedy. The plant in 6th of October City specializes in assembling Proton vehicles, and the company now appears set to significantly expand its production operations.

This expansion in local production reflects growing confidence in the Egyptian market's ability to absorb larger volumes of domestically manufactured vehicles, especially with increasing government support for the auto industry and component localization.
