Elsewedy Academy and MAC Partner to Train Youth for Egypt's Automotive Industry

The Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with MAC for Mobility Manufacturing, a subsidiary of the Mansour Automotive Group. The goal is straightforward: qualifying young talent in electrical and mechanical engineering fields. This move supports Egypt's broader drive to localize automotive manufacturing and supply newly established plants with highly trained technical workers who can handle the demands of modern production lines.

Inside the New Technical Training Agreement

Senior executives from both entities sealed the deal, with Hanan El Rehany, CEO of the Elsewedy Technical Academy. Wael Ammar, CEO of MAC for Mobility Manufacturing, leading the signing ceremony. The partnership involves offering specialized hands-on training programs within MAC's actual production environment. Trainees gain direct exposure to assembly lines and acquire skills that align with the company's real employment needs, significantly boosting their chances of securing permanent jobs after completing the program.

STA relies on a dual education system that blends theoretical classroom instruction with intensive factory floor practice. Currently, 27 automotive plants are already operational under the National Program for Industry Development (AIDP). More are expected to come online as local component ratios rise.

Hanan El Rehany, CEO of STA, emphasized that this collaboration with MAC reflects the academy's strategic roadmap to connect educational outcomes with real production lines. She noted that the national push to increase the local component ratio to 60% amplifies the sector's need for specialized professionals who can manage the precise integration between electrical and mechanical systems. The training covers everything from wire harnesses and control systems to intricate mechanical parts, preparing graduates to be effective contributors to local manufacturing depth once they join advanced industrial environments like MAC's facilities.
