Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing ceremony of a strategic partnership agreement between El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company and China's FAW Car Group. The new agreement aims to manufacture a range of vehicles under the Nasr brand, marking a pivotal step in the Egyptian automotive industry's revival.

The document was signed by Mohamed El-Saadawi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Metallurgical Industries Holding Company; Nabil Mohamed Hammad, Managing Director of El Nasr Automotive; Liu Zongqing, Chairman of FAW Car Group; and Yang Shao Fu, Head of International Operations at FAW Car Group.

Boosting Local Content and Industry

Mohamed El-Saadawi stated that this partnership is the culmination of extensive discussions between both parties, reflecting a shared desire to build long-term cooperation for technology transfer, increasing local content ratios, and supporting state efforts to revive the automotive industry while enhancing its competitiveness in local and regional markets.

New Products Under the Nasr Brand

Nabil Mohamed Hammad noted that the agreement is expected to support the company's plans to deliver high-quality products bearing the Nasr name, adhering to the latest global standards. This initiative aims to meet the needs of the Egyptian market and open new horizons for expansion and export to regional and international markets, strengthening Egypt's position as a regional hub for automotive manufacturing.
