El Nasr Automotive Factory Celebrates Production of 1,000th Vehicle
Egypt's Minister of Industry, Khaled Hesham, conducted an inspection visit to El Nasr Automotive Company in Helwan to monitor production operations. He was accompanied by the Governor of Cairo and Khaled Shadid, the Managing Director of El Nasr Automotive Company. The tour began at the bus manufacturing facility, where the minister inspected the production line for minibus and bus body structures, as well as the final finishing lines.
Production Line Review at the Passenger Car Plant
The minister also visited the passenger car plant, where he observed locally assembled vehicles and various assembly lines, including the dip-painting and robotic painting lines. The visit highlighted the advanced manufacturing processes being implemented at the facility.
1,000th Vehicle Milestone at El Nasr Factory
A key highlight of the visit was the celebration of the 1,000th vehicle produced at the El Nasr Automotive factory. The factory spans a total area of 862,000 square meters and operates with investments totaling 3.5 billion Egyptian pounds. Its annual production capacity stands at 600 buses and minibuses, along with 20,000 passenger cars. The factory utilizes local content at rates of 45% for passenger cars, 63.5% for tourist buses, and 70% for minibuses. The company employs 1,600 workers.
Government Focus on Egypt's Automotive Industry
The Minister of Industry stated that the Egyptian government places significant emphasis on the automotive sector, recognizing it as a high-value-added industry. He noted that this focus will help position Egypt as a global hub for vehicle manufacturing and the supply of related components.
Jetour X70 Plus Manufactured at El Nasr Factory
The 1,000th vehicle produced was the new Jetour X70 Plus. El Nasr Automotive Company manufactures the Jetour X70 Plus alongside Jac JS2 models, both under the El Qasrawy Group, showcasing the factory's diverse production portfolio.
