El Arabi El Sewedy Investments Signs Official OMODA and JAECOO Dealership in Egypt
El Arabi El Sewedy Investments (ESI) has officially announced the signing of a dealership agreement with global automotive brands OMODA and JAECOO, both subsidiaries of China's Chery Group. Under this agreement, ESI becomes the official distributor for both brands in the Egyptian market, marking a strategic move to strengthen Egypt's position as a regional hub for automotive trade, industry, and smart mobility technologies.
Strategic Partnership and Market Expansion Plans
Under the terms of the agreement, ESI will be responsible for representing and introducing OMODA and JAECOO vehicles to the local market, offering the latest models to meet growing demand for modern cars and new energy vehicles. The plan includes ensuring product availability, after-sales services, and genuine spare parts from day one, alongside a comprehensive strategy to deepen the brands' presence and gradually expand within the Egyptian market.
Exceptional Global Growth and Presence
Both brands have achieved remarkable growth since their global launch in 2023, with cumulative sales surpassing one million vehicles — the fastest pace ever recorded among modern automotive brands. OMODA and JAECOO now have a presence in nearly 70 markets worldwide. In the United Kingdom specifically, the JAECOO 7 topped its segment as the best-selling model, making JAECOO the fastest-growing major brand in the country over the past decade.
The two brands operate under a dual-brand strategy: OMODA focuses on modern crossover vehicles with bold designs and smart technologies targeting younger generations, while JAECOO offers stylish SUVs that combine luxury with adventure spirit. Both brands are part of Chery's international arm dedicated to global markets, relying on intelligent driving technologies, new energy solutions, and the Super Hybrid System (SHS).
This partnership reflects Chery Group's confidence in ESI's marketing, commercial, and manufacturing capabilities, and aligns with both parties' plans to expand across regional markets from Egypt. Mohamed Saleh, CEO of ESI, stated that the group operates with a clear, long-term vision to solidify its position as one of the leading players in the automotive and new energy vehicle sectors in the region.
