Egypt's automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation, moving from meeting domestic market needs to competing in international markets. Several local factories have announced the start of exports, with expectations of significant expansion in the coming period, in line with the state's plans to localize the industry and increase local production.

Khaled Saad Reveals Current and Future Export Volume

Engineer Khaled Saad, Secretary General of the Automobile Manufacturers Association, confirmed that three local factories have recently announced the export of cars to a number of foreign markets. Saad pointed out that this number will gradually increase in the upcoming period, as new factories join the production and export system, enhancing Egypt's position as a promising industrial hub in the Middle East and Africa.

During his interview with the 'Arabicety' program on Radio Egypt, Saad explained that all car factories operating in Egypt aim to expand exports to benefit from the incentives approved by the state as part of the automotive industry localization strategy. He added that Egyptian factories have become capable of balancing the needs of the local market with expansion into foreign markets, thanks to improved production quality and increased production capacity.

Expansion into European and African Markets

Saad noted that the upcoming period will witness a noticeable increase in trade exchange with many European and African countries, as well as Turkey, India, and the United States. This expansion will enhance the opportunities for Egyptian cars to penetrate international markets, open new markets for local products, support economic growth, and increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry globally.

The Secretary General of the Automobile Manufacturers Association emphasized that the state's direction towards supporting local industry and raising production rates will contribute to transforming Egypt into a regional center for car manufacturing and export. He confirmed that these steps will increase investments in the sector, create new job opportunities, and boost Egyptian export revenues, achieving sustainable development goals and Egypt's future vision for industrial localization.
