Egypt is gearing up to launch its first specialized exhibition for automotive components, machinery, and equipment this coming September. The initiative aims to support local companies operating in industrial supply chains and enhance their access to new export markets, coinciding with the country's broader efforts to localize the automotive industry and its components sector.

Exhibition Details and Objectives

Engineer Sherif El-Sayyad, Head of the Engineering Industries Export Council, announced that the exhibition, organized by the council for the first time, will serve as a specialized platform bringing together manufacturers of automotive components, machinery, and equipment with international buyers. El-Sayyad stated during press remarks on the sidelines of the third edition of the Buyers' Mission (EPS) that organizing the exhibition is part of the council's strategy to support feeder industries, particularly the automotive components sector. He highlighted this sector as one of the most promising, capable of attracting new investments, deepening local manufacturing, and increasing added value for Egyptian industry.

Boosting Exports and Competitiveness

El-Sayyad explained that the exhibition will directly contribute to increasing exports and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in foreign markets, especially given the growing demand for Egyptian components in several regional markets. He noted that the council continues to implement its plan for global market expansion through buyers' missions. The current edition features the participation of 20 Egyptian companies specializing in electrical industries, alongside 48 buyers and companies from more than 20 countries, in addition to government delegations representing key entities implementing infrastructure and energy projects.

Trade Mission Activities

The council head added that the first day of the mission includes direct business meetings between Egyptian companies and foreign buyers to explore cooperation and supply opportunities. The following two days involve field visits to factories and production lines, allowing foreign delegations to learn about Egyptian manufacturing capabilities, quality levels, and production potential. These visits enhance confidence in Egyptian products and open new horizons for export.

Electrical Industries and Automotive Components

El-Sayyad emphasized that the electrical industries, whose products are integral to many strategic sectors, particularly automotive components, represent one of the council's most prominent export sectors. He pointed out that expected demand for these products is set to rise in the coming period, driven by reconstruction projects in several regional markets, opening new opportunities for Egyptian manufacturers. The Head of the Engineering Industries Export Council also revealed that the council is studying the organization of a trade mission to the Syrian market before the end of this year, once necessary procedures are completed, with the aim of exploring export opportunities there.
