Chinese automaker BYD has achieved an unprecedented milestone in the Egyptian market, capturing over 20% of the New Energy Vehicle segment within just 146 days of its official launch. This rapid success, accomplished through its official distributor ManDream, underscores the brand's aggressive expansion strategy and its ability to establish a strong foothold in one of the region's most dynamic automotive markets.

Over 2,000 Vehicles Delivered in Record Time

During this period, BYD delivered more than 2,000 vehicles to customers and conducted over 2,500 test drives, significantly boosting the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles in Egypt. These figures highlight the growing consumer demand for sustainable mobility solutions, as the company continues to meet the evolving needs of the local market.

Eight Diverse Models for Every Segment

BYD introduced a comprehensive lineup of eight electric and plug-in hybrid models covering various segments. The electric offerings include the Dolphin Surf EV and Sealion 6 EV, while the SUV range features Sealion 6 DMi, Sealion 5 DMi, and Ti7 DMi. Family-oriented buyers can choose the 7-seater Atto 8 DMi and M9 DMi, alongside the rugged Shark 6 pickup truck designed for practicality and performance.

Pioneering Educational Initiatives

Beyond commercial success, BYD has shown commitment to social responsibility by hosting over 1,000 students for interactive educational sessions. In collaboration with the Wellspring Foundation, the company launched the first initiative of its kind for an automotive brand in Egypt, aimed at raising awareness about NEV technologies among younger generations and fostering a culture of sustainability.

Expansion Plans: 20 Technical Centers by 2026

BYD relies on a robust network of technical and service centers across Egypt, offering an integrated customer experience that combines access to cutting-edge technology with world-class after-sales service. The company plans to expand to 20 technical centers and 7 service centers nationwide by the end of 2026, supporting its ambitious growth strategy and strengthening its presence in the Egyptian automotive landscape.
