Aston Martin Launches the Armored Dreadnought for Call of Duty Battles
In an unprecedented collaboration between the luxury automotive industry and the world of video games, Aston Martin has unveiled its all-new virtual vehicle named Dreadnought, specifically developed to appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This project, created in partnership with Activision and Infinity Ward, marks a strategic leap for the British marque as it expands into digital and interactive content.
Design Blending Luxury with Military Character
The Dreadnought draws its inspiration from SUVs, but features an armored body, aggressive styling, and a four-wheel-drive system that ensures a strong presence on digital battlefields. Designers at Aston Martin carefully transferred the brand's signature luxury elements into the virtual vehicle, equipping it with an exterior finish inspired by carbon fiber weave, while the cabin features premium Oxford Tan leather and a metallic gear shifter with gold accents—a blend of opulence and military toughness.
V12 Sound and Immersive Driving Experience
Although entirely virtual, the Dreadnought relies on sound effects inspired by Aston Martin's iconic V12 engine, delivering a more realistic and immersive driving experience for players. It also includes dynamic driving characteristics suited to intense in-game confrontations, along with Call of Duty-specific equipment such as auxiliary fuel tanks and dedicated storage for weapons and gear, enhancing its role across various combat missions.
Aston Martin chose the name Dreadnought for its historical connotations of power and prestige, referencing the legendary British battleship HMS Dreadnought that revolutionized warship design in the early 20th century. The Dreadnought will be available to players in DMZ and Warzone modes, usable across multiple maps and missions. Aston Martin also plans to showcase a life-size model at Fanatics Fest in New York ahead of the official launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
