The group secured EGP 2.1 billion in financing. Al-Arab Al-Sewedy Investments has announced ambitious plans to expand its automotive manufacturing capabilities by establishing an integrated industrial complex and launching new paint lines. The move aims to increase production capacity, meet local market demand, and expand exports to foreign markets. The new funding, revealed during a joint press conference with Next Bank, amounts to approximately EGP 2.1 billion and supports the group's expansion plans and industrial investments, including the new paint line.
Details of Industrial Expansion and Objectives
Engineer Mohamed Saleh, CEO of Al-Arab Al-Sewedy Investments, stated that the new financing supports the group's expansions in the automotive manufacturing sector. He emphasized that the new investments aim to build an integrated industrial base that keeps pace with global developments in the automotive industry. Saleh explained that the group is committed to launching paint lines as part of its industrial investments, contributing to the creation of an integrated industrial complex that serves automotive manufacturing processes and links different production stages, thereby enhancing the ability to meet the needs of the Egyptian market.
Paint Lines and Deepening Local Manufacturing
The CEO noted that establishing paint lines is part of the group's strategy to deepen manufacturing and localize supply chains related to the automotive industry, enhancing industrial integration and raising the production system's capacity to meet its needs locally. This direction aligns with the state's strategy to support local manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports.
Increasing Production and Exports
The expansion of these investments doesn't only aim to increase production capacity, but also aims to reach production capabilities that allow for quantitative production that accommodates market needs, whether local or foreign, paving the way for increased Egyptian exports of vehicles and components in the coming period.
Integration with the Egyptian Market
The new industrial complex will link different production stages, from component manufacturing to final paint lines. This step comes at a time when the local automotive market is witnessing moves toward localizing the industry and bridging the gap between supply and demand.
