The first day of the third edition of the Al-Ahram Transport Vehicles Expo 2026 has successfully concluded. Organized by Al-Ahram Foundation at the International Conference Center in Nasr City, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the event brought together a select group of leading local and international companies operating in the transport vehicle sector. The day witnessed a large turnout from industry representatives and investors, highlighting the sector's role in supporting economic development and localizing the automotive industry in Egypt.

Specialized Panel Discussions

The event featured an extensive panel discussion titled “How to Implement the Egyptian State’s Plan for Manufacturing Vehicles That Achieve Development in Egypt, and the Most Important Problems and Obstacles,” moderated by journalist Hisham El-Zeini, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Auto. Participants included Sharon Nishi, Chairman and CEO of General Motors Egypt and Africa; Ankush Arora, CEO of Al-Mansour Automotive Group; Engineer Mohamed Abdel Samad, Chairman of Nissan Egypt and Africa; Nashaat Abu Hata, Chairman of General Egypt and Shinrai Agent in Egypt and Head of the Automotive Division at the Afro-Asian General Union; and Engineer Mohamed Hussein, Managing Director of the Springs and Transport Equipment Manufacturing Company.

A second session titled “How Transport Vehicle Agents Keep Pace with Industry Technology Evolution and Different Customer Usage” was also held, moderated by Hisham El-Zeini. Participants included Engineer Mustafa Abu Ghali, Chairman of Abu Ghali Auto Group; Engineer Medhat El-Shennawy, Head of Sales, Marketing, and After-Sales Services at General Motors Egypt; Engineer Nour El-Sherif, Chairman of Nour El-Din El-Sherif Company, agents of Relay; and Engineer Mahmoud Saleh, General Manager of Global Engineering Company.

A Strategic Platform for Collaboration

Participating companies emphasized that the expo has become a strategic platform for showcasing the latest products, enhancing collaboration opportunities, and forging new partnerships, supporting the state's direction toward localizing the automotive industry and increasing reliance on domestic production. The displayed vehicles, particularly electric commercial vehicles, attracted significant interest and admiration from visitors, reflecting the rapid evolution of smart and sustainable transport in the Egyptian market.

The Al-Ahram Transport Vehicles Expo 2026 is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly from June 18 to 20 at Hall No. 4 of the International Conference Center in Nasr City.
