Nissan Tops Egypt Car Sales with 17.4% Market Share in First 7 Months of 2026
Nissan has topped Egypt's best-selling automotive brand list for the first seven months of 2026 with a 17.4% market share and 15,158 vehicles sold. Chery came second at 13.5% (11,764 cars), followed by MG third at 12.7% (11,108 units). Hyundai ranked fourth with 9.5% (8,278 vehicles) and Toyota fifth at 6.2% (5,399 units). Chery secured second place with a 13.5% share, selling 11,764 cars, while MG followed closely in third at 12.7% with 11,108 units. The race for second was tight.
Hyundai and Toyota Hold Strong in Top Five
Hyundai ranked fourth with 9.5% share and 8,278 vehicles, followed by Toyota in fifth at 6.2% with 5,399 units. Both brands continue to benefit from steady demand for Asian models.
Changan claimed sixth place with 5.8% share and 5,032 cars, while Chevrolet took seventh at 4.8% with 4,219 vehicles. Renault closed the top eight with 4.1% share and 3,572 units.
The market is shifting. Nissan prices alone don't tell the full story, but they point to a change in Egyptian buyers' priorities toward brands offering a mix of competitive pricing and after-sales service. Can Nissan hold the crown through the end of 2026?
