Egypt's Passenger Car Sales Jump to 22.4K Units in July
Passenger car sales in Egypt surged to 22,453 units in July, marking a 6.19% increase compared to June's 21,144 units. The growth was largely driven by a significant push in newer model registrations.
Model Year 2027 Takes the Lead
The latest monthly market report reveals a clear dominance of 2027 models, with 10,261 units sold—outpacing the 2026 models which secured 9,577 units. This ranking underscores a rapid shift in consumer preference toward the newest generations.
Model year 2025 came in third with 1,199 units, while 2024 models claimed the fourth spot at 780 units. The lowest figure belonged to 2023 models, which barely reached 636 units.
A Different Story in June
June painted a contrasting picture, as 2026 models led the list with 13,117 units, comfortably ahead of 2027 models which recorded 5,781 units. The gap between the two months highlights fast-moving changes in buyer behavior.
For June, 2025 models posted 1,235 units, followed by 2024 models at 582 units and 2023 models at 429 units. These numbers demonstrate a steady trend away from older model years.
The Egyptian market is experiencing notable volatility in sales distribution by model year, with decisions influenced by factors such as pricing, availability, and specifications. Monthly fluctuations confirm that buyers are closely monitoring the latest releases.
