Head of Egypt's Auto Division: Market in Shock and Uncertainty Amid Global Tensions
Omar Balbaa, Head of the Automotive Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that the car market is currently experiencing a state of intense uncertainty, amid global shifts and geopolitical tensions that have cast a shadow over various economic sectors worldwide.
Speaking during his interview on the 'Arabity' program broadcast on Egypt Radio, Balbaa stated that market indicators are nearly at a standstill, noting that the sector is in a state of shock due to unforeseen global events and changes.
He explained that ongoing wars and regional tensions have impacted the global economy as a whole, including the automotive industry, which now faces a lack of clear visibility during this period.
The head of the auto division added that the sector is in a state of great anticipation, emphasizing that there are no clear forecasts to outline the market's trajectory in the coming period, given the persistence of current tensions and the outcomes of ongoing negotiations.
Balbaa affirmed that market trends in the next phase will remain tied to global political and economic developments, and the resulting effects on various economic sectors.
