Nissan Magnite Locally Assembled Officially Launches in Egypt with 4 Trim Levels Starting from EGP 788,000
Nissan Egypt, the local distributor for the Japanese brand, has officially launched the locally assembled Nissan Magnite in the Egyptian market, revealing its official prices. The new model enters the compact SUV segment, with production taking place at the company's factory in 6th of October City, featuring a local content ratio exceeding 55%. This move reinforces Nissan's commitment to local manufacturing and offering competitive options to Egyptian consumers.
Nissan Magnite Prices and Trims in Egypt
The new Nissan Magnite is available in four distinct trim levels to cater to various customer needs. Official prices are set as follows: the base trim at EGP 788,000, the second trim at EGP 848,000, the third trim at EGP 868,000, and the top trim at EGP 888,000. These prices position the vehicle in direct competition with other compact SUVs, such as models from Chery and Hyundai.
Engine and Performance
The locally assembled Nissan Magnite is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, producing 99 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission, delivering a balanced performance that combines responsive driving with fuel efficiency. The average fuel consumption stands at 17.9 km per liter, a notable figure that supports daily running costs, especially amid rising fuel prices.
The vehicle features compact dimensions ideal for city driving, with a length of 3,994 mm, width of 1,758 mm, height of 1,572 mm, a wheelbase of 2,500 mm, and a ground clearance of 205 mm. The Nissan Magnite offers a rear cargo capacity of 336 liters, expandable to 690 liters with the rear seats folded, along with a 40-liter fuel tank, making it practical for daily errands and short trips.
Features and Interior Technology
The Nissan Magnite comes equipped with a range of features to enhance driver and passenger comfort, including a 7-inch infotainment display, electric power steering, and Eco Scoring and Eco Coaching systems that help optimize driving efficiency. These technologies place the vehicle at a competitive level within its segment, rivaling offerings from brands like Kia Seltos or some Toyota models.
Nissan appears to target young buyers and small families seeking a modern, compact SUV at a competitive price. With deliveries commencing, the Magnite is expected to see strong demand, supported by local assembly that reduces costs and enhances availability of spare parts and service across Nissan's extensive dealership network in Egypt.
