Kia Seltos 2027 Launched in Egypt with Price Hikes Up to EGP 50,000
EIT, Kia's exclusive agent in Egypt, has launched the 2027 Kia Seltos with price increases ranging from EGP 20,000 to 50,000. The base EX trim starts at EGP 1,369,900, while the top-spec Topline Turbo reaches EGP 1,674,900. Two engine options are available: a 1.5-litre with 115 hp and a 1.4-litre turbo with 140 hp. Safety and tech features include ABS, EBD, LED lighting, and a panoramic sunroof on higher trims.
The Egyptian International Company for Trade and Agencies (EIT), the exclusive local agent for the Korean brand Kia in Egypt, has launched the 2027 model of the Kia Seltos with official price increases ranging from EGP 20,000 to 50,000 across all trims. The base EX trim now starts at EGP 1,369,900, while the top-spec Topline Turbo reaches EGP 1,674,900 — a full EGP 50,000 jump over the previous model year.
2027 Kia Seltos Prices in the Egyptian Market
Three trims make up the new Seltos lineup. The EX is priced at EGP 1,369,900 with a EGP 20,000 increase. The Highline Turbo comes at EGP 1,524,900, up by EGP 25,000. The Topline Turbo sits at EGP 1,674,900, marking the largest hike of EGP 50,000. These figures put the Seltos in direct competition with rivals like the Hyundai Creta and the Toyota C-HR.
Two Engines, Dual Performance
The base version uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 115 hp and 145 Nm of torque, mated to an IVT gearbox. The second version packs a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 140 hp and 247 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT. The torque gap is clear — 102 Nm more in favour of the turbo.
Exterior Dimensions and Cargo Space
The 2027 Kia Seltos measures 4385 mm in length, 1800 mm in width. 1620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2630 mm. Boot capacity stands at 460 litres. These dimensions place it squarely in the compact crossover segment, where competition is fierce against the Hyundai and Toyota offerings.
Safety and Security Equipment
Kia has equipped the 2027 Seltos with a safety package including ABS, electronic brake-force distribution, front/side/rear parking warnings, tyre pressure monitoring, hill-start assist, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and front airbags. These features are now standard in its class, but their full availability across trims strengthens Kia's competitive edge.
Exterior Design and Interior Features
Outside, the Seltos gets LED front fog lights, quad-lens LED headlights, LED rear lights with high-mounted brake light, light sensor, rear spoiler with LED brake light, side mirror turn signals, electric folding mirrors, roof rails, a panoramic sunroof on selected trims, and 16- or 17-inch sport alloy wheels depending on trim. Inside, there is a dynamic rear-view screen, cruise control with steering wheel controls, radio with USB and Bluetooth, drive modes based on road conditions, driver seat height adjustment, centre armrest with cup holders, and a smart key with engine start/stop button.
The price hikes announced by EIT reflect cost pressures on the local market. Still, the 2027 Kia Seltos remains a strong contender in the compact crossover segment, especially with its tech features. For comparison, you can track Kia prices in the used market, where the Seltos is one of the most in-demand models.
