GB Auto Launches Locally Assembled Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Egypt
GB Auto has launched the locally assembled Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Egypt's competitive SUV market. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 145 hp and 210 Nm of torque, it pairs with a CVT gearbox. The cabin features dual 12.3-inch screens and a panoramic sunroof, while safety covers ESP and a 360-degree camera on top trims. This launch reinforces GB Auto's local manufacturing strategy and Chery's growing presence.
GB Auto, the exclusive distributor of Chery in Egypt, has officially launched the locally assembled Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. The new model enters the highly competitive SUV segment with a length of 4.5 meters, a width of 1.842 meters. A height of 1.705 meters, riding on a 2.67-meter wheelbase. This launch is a clear signal of the company's commitment to deepening local manufacturing and expanding its portfolio.
Turbocharged Performance Under the Hood
Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 145 horsepower. Peak torque stands at 210 Newton-meters, channeled to the front wheels through a CVT automatic gearbox. Those figures put the Tiggo 7 Pro squarely in the crosshairs of well-established Japanese and Korean rivals — but the equipment list tells a different story.
A Tech-Loaded Cabin Designed for Comfort
Inside, the Tiggo 7 Pro stuns with two 12.3-inch displays. One serves as the digital instrument cluster, the other handles infotainment with full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. A wireless phone charger, power-adjustable seats, multi-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof. A power tailgate round out the premium experience on higher trims. The generous wheelbase translates directly into cabin space that families will appreciate.
Comprehensive Safety Suite as Standard
Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESP), hill-start assist (HHC), and hill-descent control (HDC). Chery also adds an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, multiple airbags, and TPMS tire pressure monitoring. The range-topping trim goes further with a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
Farid Fadel, Executive Vice President for the Chery brand at GB Auto, described the launch as a strategic step in growing the brand's footprint locally. The Egyptian SUV market is heating up fast. This newcomer is armed with features that outgun many of its price rivals. It could well reshape buyer expectations in this booming segment.
