Cheapest Volvo in Egypt: EX30 Electric Starts at EGP 1.79 Million
Volvo's EX30 electric SUV is now available in Egypt starting at EGP 1.79 million. It offers up to 475 km of WLTP range and 428 hp in the top trim. With multiple trims including RWD and AWD, it brings Scandinavian luxury to the EV segment.
Ez El Arab Group, the local distributor of Volvo in Egypt, has announced the availability of the EX30 electric SUV at a starting price of EGP 1.79 million, making it the most affordable Volvo model in the local market. The vehicle features a fully electric powertrain and joins the compact SUV segment.
Performance and Powertrain
Performance specs vary by trim. The Plus and Ultra trims come with a single electric motor producing 272 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque, with rear-wheel drive. The range-topping Ultra Twin Motor adds a second motor for all-wheel drive, delivering a combined 428 horsepower and 543 Nm.
Impressive numbers. The top trim accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h across all variants. This makes the Volvo EX30 a serious contender in the premium electric crossover space.
Battery and Range
All trims are equipped with a 69 kWh battery pack, offering up to 475 kilometers of WLTP-rated range in single-motor versions. The Twin Motor variant delivers a still-impressive 450 kilometers on a full charge — a solid figure for a performance-oriented EV.
What about dimensions? The EX30 measures 4,233 mm in length, 1,837 mm in width, and 1,555 mm in height, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase. Cargo capacity stands at 318 liters, expandable by folding the rear seats — practical for daily use.
Interior Features and Technology
The EX30 comes with a large central touchscreen, a screen-based operating system, and smartphone connectivity support. Volvo keeps the cabin minimalist and modern, with a focus on sustainable materials across all trims.
With this aggressive pricing, Volvo is targeting a new demographic of Egyptian buyers seeking luxury EVs without the premium price tag. The local market is warming up to electric mobility, and the EX30 could be the perfect gateway.
