Ferrari Lotchi: First All-Electric Supercar from Maranello with 1,050 HP
Ferrari has officially unveiled the Lotchi, its first fully electric production sports car, marking a historic milestone in the Italian brand's transition toward electrification. Classified as a standard production model rather than a limited-edition test vehicle, the Lotchi combines a 1,050 hp electric powertrain with an all-new dynamic design, entering the ultra-luxury performance segment at a starting price of approximately $640,000.
Quad-Motor Electric Powertrain
The Ferrari Lotchi is powered by a four-motor electric drive system delivering up to 1,050 hp, making it the most powerful model in Ferrari's current lineup. Built on an entirely new electric platform developed at Maranello, the Lotchi sits alongside Ferrari's existing combustion-engine models rather than replacing them, signaling a strategic expansion rather than a complete shift.
800-Volt Architecture and Chassis Integration
The platform is centered around an 800-volt battery system integrated into the chassis, lowering the center of gravity and improving overall handling stability. The launch underscores Ferrari's intention to compete at the highest level in the electric hypercar market while preserving its identity as a luxury performance manufacturer.
Torque Shift Engagement and Pricing
Unlike traditional Ferraris, the Lotchi does not use a mechanical gearbox but instead features a Torque Shift Engagement system. Pricing starts at €550,000 or $640,000 before options and personalization, positioning it at the top end of the high-performance EV market. Industry observers expect final transaction prices to rise significantly once custom paint, interior finishes, and accessories are added.
E-Manettino Driving Modes
The electric supercar supports multiple driving modes via the E-Manettino system, ranging from efficient range mode to full launch control. Unlike many EV launches targeting broader markets, the Lotchi is aimed directly at performance enthusiasts and luxury buyers. Reservations opened immediately after the global reveal, reflecting Ferrari's confidence in demand for high-performance electric vehicles.
