Cupra Tavascan to Debut in Egypt on October 15: All-Electric with Up to 340 HP

The wait is almost over. The Cupra Tavascan will officially launch in the Egyptian market on October 15, marking the brand's first fully electric vehicle offered through its local agent, Kayan Egypt. The launch comes as Cupra sales in Egypt have reportedly exceeded 8,000 units, signaling growing demand for the Spanish brand.

Cupra Tavascan Electric Specs: Power and Range

The numbers speak for themselves. The Cupra Tavascan is available globally in two versions: a single-motor setup producing 285 hp with a 77 kWh battery delivering 553 km of range. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version pushes output to 340 hp with the same battery, though range drops to 513 km. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds, and top speed is capped at 180 km/h.

Practical Dimensions for Daily Use

Length stands at 4,644 mm. Width is 1,861 mm and height 1,597 mm. These figures place the Tavascan in the compact crossover segment, but it still offers seating for five and a 540-liter rear trunk. The dimensions seem well-judged for a family electric vehicle.

Fast Charging in Under Half an Hour

Charging time is a critical factor. The Tavascan can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 28 minutes using a 135 kW fast charger. It supports both slow and fast charging, giving owners flexibility for daily commutes and longer trips. This feature addresses one of the biggest concerns among Egyptian EV buyers.

The arrival of the Cupra Tavascan adds a new European option to the electric crossover segment, where it will compete with models like the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4.
