Top Used Cars Eligible for Ride-Hailing Apps in Egypt
Many individuals seeking to work with smart ride-hailing applications are turning to the used car market, searching for models that meet operational requirements while offering lower purchase costs. In recent years, ride-hailing companies have relaxed their vehicle age restrictions, allowing thousands of used cars that were previously ineligible to join these platforms.
Differences in Minimum Model Years Between Apps
Uber Egypt requires vehicles to be from model year 2008 or newer, depending on the category and ongoing updates. Meanwhile, the InDrive application accepts older models, starting from 1995 or newer, provided the car is in good condition. Other applications such as Didi and Bolt accept models ranging between 2004 and 2007 as a minimum for certain economy categories.
General Conditions for Car Acceptance in Ride-Hailing Apps
Applications require the car to be in good condition, free from major damage or accidents, with an overall condition rating exceeding 70%. The vehicle must be a sedan or hatchback with at least four doors; two-door coupes are not accepted. Additionally, a valid driver's license and vehicle registration, a technical inspection meeting the app's standards, and a criminal record certificate directed to the application are mandatory.
