Geely Egypt Agent Confirms Official Pricing Without Overprice.. New Price Increases Announced
Automobility Group, Geely's agent in Egypt, has confirmed it will deliver vehicles at the officially announced price with no overprice, taking full responsibility for protecting customer rights. New price increases include up to 24,000 EGP on the Geely Coolray and 20,000 EGP on the Geely Emgrand. Pricing for the Geely Starray, City Ray, and Monjaro Hybrid remains unannounced.
Automobility Group, the official agent of Geely in Egypt, has confirmed its full commitment to delivering vehicles at the officially announced price with no overprice markup — a direct move to protect customer rights and stabilize the market. The announcement came in an official statement. It arrives at a time when Egypt's automotive market is grappling with widespread unofficial price hikes on new vehicles, making the agent's pledge a focal point for thousands of buyers awaiting delivery months after booking.
Geely Egypt Pledges to Protect Buyer Rights
The company went beyond a simple pricing promise. Automobility clarified that delivery is executed at the price announced at the time of booking, with delivery dates set according to the availability of specifications and each customer's specific requests. The company stated it bears full responsibility for protecting customer rights while continuously working to meet their needs. A clear commitment.
This step comes amid deep uncertainty across local car markets, where buyers seek real guarantees before paying booking deposits. The agent's statement provides a direct answer to one of the biggest customer fears: will I actually pay the announced price, or face a surprise increase at delivery? The answer from Geely Egypt was decisive.
New Geely Coolray Pricing
989,000 EGP. That is the new price for the Comfort trim of the Geely Coolray, up from 975,000 EGP — a 14,000 EGP increase. The Premium trim reached 1,099,000 EGP from 1,075,000 EGP, a 24,000 EGP jump. The Sport trim held steady at 1,199,000 EGP with no change. The increases vary by trim.
As for the Geely Emgrand, the Comfort trim rose to 859,000 EGP from 839,000 EGP — a 20,000 EGP increase — while the Luxury trim hit 959,000 EGP from 939,000 EGP with the same increment. The adjustments cover multiple models.
Models Awaiting Price Announcements
But what about the rest of the lineup? The Geely Starray, across its three trims — Comfort, Premium, and Sport — has no confirmed pricing yet, with the company stating an announcement will come soon. The question hangs.
The same applies to the Geely City Ray in all three trims, where no prices have been disclosed so far despite confirmation of an imminent reveal. For the Geely Monjaro Hybrid, only the Luxury trim is currently offered in the Egyptian market and its price is still under wraps. The wait continues.
The agent's statement carries weight beyond pricing alone. Committing to official-price delivery — in a market squeezed by tight supply and rising costs — sends a reassurance signal to buyers hesitant to book for fear of pricing surprises. Geely is positioning itself differently from several brands that leave prices to fluctuate.
