GB Auto, the exclusive distributor of iCAUR in Egypt, is preparing to officially introduce the brand to the local market during a special event in the second half of August. The move aligns with the company's strategy to diversify its brand portfolio and strengthen its presence in the new energy vehicle segment.

Rising Electric Mobility Trends

The launch comes as Egypt's auto market increasingly shifts toward electric and smart mobility solutions. Consumers show growing interest in advanced technologies and vehicles that combine efficiency with performance, opening opportunities for new brands to invest in this category.

iCAUR Under the Chery Umbrella

iCAUR is one of the brands under China's Chery group, having started its global operations in 2023. The brand focuses on developing new energy vehicles that incorporate smart technology and modern design, along with customization options targeting drivers seeking a unique driving experience.

It adopts the "Born to Play" philosophy, centered on delivering cars that blend innovation with practicality, emphasizing freedom of movement and an adventurous spirit. This approach resonates with contemporary lifestyles that value flexibility and new experiences in mobility.

First Model Reveal

The official launch event is expected to unveil the first iCAUR model for Egypt, featuring an extended-range electric drive system. The vehicle also comes equipped with a suite of smart technologies, comfort and safety systems, and a design that carries the brand's distinct identity.

The entry of iCAUR into Egypt adds a new global name to GB Auto's portfolio, as the company continues expanding in the electric and new energy vehicle sector. The distributor has solidified its position through multiple partnerships with international brands.

Interactive Public Experience

After the official launch, GB Auto plans to host interactive pop-up shops where visitors can explore the vehicle and its technologies up close. The displays will run at Mall of Arabia from August 19 to September 30, and at District 5 from August 19 to November 30, giving the public a chance to engage with the brand before the vehicle hits the roads.
