Fiat Tipo Manual vs Nissan Sunny Automatic: A 5,000 EGP Difference Decides the Choice
Dynamics Auto, the official distributor of Fiat in Egypt, has reintroduced the imported Fiat Tipo sedan model year 2026, equipped with a manual transmission, after being absent from the local market for several months. This move comes amid strong competition in the economy sedan segment, making comparisons essential for buyers.
Price Gap Between Fiat Tipo and Nissan Sunny
The new Fiat Tipo is available in a single trim at an official price of 770,000 EGP, while the first trim of the locally assembled Nissan Sunny 2027, with an automatic transmission, is priced at 765,000 EGP. With a difference of only 5,000 EGP, the choice between a European manual car and a Japanese automatic one becomes a real challenge for consumers seeking the best value for money.
Technical Specifications and Features
Engine and Performance
The Fiat Tipo is powered by a 1.4-liter engine producing 95 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches a top speed of 185 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds, with a 45-liter fuel tank. In contrast, the Nissan Sunny features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine generating 108 horsepower, linked to a 4-speed automatic transmission, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 15.5 seconds.
Dimensions and Space
The Fiat Tipo has a length of 4,533 mm, a width of 1,792 mm, a height of 1,497 mm, and a trunk capacity of 520 liters. It rides on 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels depending on the trim. Meanwhile, the Nissan Sunny measures 4,425 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, a trunk capacity of 490 liters, and sits on 15-inch wheels.
Safety Systems
The Fiat Tipo is equipped with 6 airbags and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), significantly enhancing its safety profile. While details on Nissan Sunny's safety systems were not disclosed, the difference in airbag count gives the Italian car an edge in this area.
