Jameel Motors Celebrates 20 Years in Egypt and Confirms Expansion with GAC
Jameel Motors Egypt celebrated 20 years of operations in the local market, reaffirming its expansion plans in partnership with Chinese brand GAC, after three years of collaboration between the two sides. The announcement comes as part of a strategy aimed at strengthening the brand's presence and enhancing the customer experience.
A Journey of Growth and Partnerships
The company stated in an official release that its journey in Egypt began with the Japanese brand Daihatsu, before expanding through representing several global brands, eventually securing the GAC dealership in 2023. This growth is backed by over 80 years of global experience and operations spanning more than 10 countries. Jameel Motors globally represents a group of leading automotive companies, including Toyota, Lexus, BYD, and Geely Auto, reflecting its expertise in building long-term partnerships with major car manufacturers.
Record Sales Achievements
Karim Abu El-Fadl, Regional General Manager of Jameel Motors – Egypt, stated that the 20-year milestone in the Egyptian market is an extension of the company's global journey, emphasizing that recent performance reflects the strength of its operational system and customer trust. He noted that Jameel Motors – Egypt received the Gold Award for Best Distributor and led GAC car sales across Africa, achieving a growth rate of 142% during the first half of 2026.
Expansion Plans and Customer Experience Enhancement
Abu El-Fadl added that the company is preparing to implement a new expansion plan that includes upgrading showrooms to global standards, while introducing new customer experiences and services. He explained that the expansion strategy is not limited to increasing the number of branches or distributors, but focuses on investing in improving the car ownership experience, enhancing after-sales services, and providing genuine spare parts.
Key Milestones in the Company's Journey
The company highlighted key milestones of its operations in Egypt, noting that it began its activities two decades ago with Daihatsu cars, along with Hino commercial trucks, then secured the dealerships for Ford and Volkswagen in 2015, paving the way for a strategic partnership with GAC. These developments come at a time when the Egyptian market is witnessing growing interest in Chinese brands, giving Jameel Motors an opportunity to strengthen its presence and leverage two decades of accumulated experience in the local market.
