Geely Discusses Expanding Local Manufacturing, Boosting Production, and Launching New Models with Auto Mobility
Auto Mobility, the official distributor and exclusive manufacturer of Geely vehicles in Egypt, recently hosted Alex Nan, General Manager of GAIC, a subsidiary of the global Geely Group, during an official visit to Egypt. The visit aimed to conduct extensive strategic discussions regarding the future of the brand in the Egyptian market and to review growth and expansion plans for the upcoming phase, reflecting strong confidence in the capabilities of the Egyptian market.
Strategic Meetings to Shape Geely's Future in Egypt
The visit included a series of meetings between Alex Nan, Fahad Al Ghanim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Auto Mobility, and Osman Abdel Moneim, the company's Managing Director. The discussions focused on the exceptional results achieved by Geely in Egypt in terms of sales and production. Plans to launch new models, such as the new Starray, new Cityray, and Monjaro, among others, were also reviewed. Additionally, the talks covered expanding local manufacturing operations and exploring opportunities to export cars manufactured in Egypt to various regional markets.
Transforming Egypt into a Regional Hub for Geely Manufacturing and Exports
Both sides also discussed a strategy to transform Egypt into a regional hub for the manufacturing and export of Geely vehicles to numerous markets in the Middle East and Africa. This strategy leverages Egypt's growing industrial infrastructure, local expertise, and trade agreements that provide access to a wide range of markets. In this context, both parties affirmed their commitment to continued investment in the Egyptian market, supporting the national industry, and developing the local manufacturing system according to the highest global quality standards, building on successes achieved to launch a new phase of sustainable growth and expansion.
Success of Local Manufacturing for Emgrand and Coolray Models
The two sides reviewed the success of the local manufacturing experience for the Emgrand and Coolray models at the BAMIC factory. This facility has become one of the most prominent examples of successful local manufacturing in the Egyptian automotive sector, significantly increasing the availability of Geely vehicles in the market and enhancing their competitiveness. Fahad Al Ghanim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Auto Mobility, expressed his delight at the visit of the delegation from the global Geely Group, stating: "The visit of Alex Nan is a new confirmation of the importance of the Egyptian market in Geely's global strategy and the strength of our partnership. What we have achieved so far in terms of sales growth and success in locally manufacturing the Emgrand and Coolray is only the beginning of a more ambitious phase. We are working with our partners in the coming period to expand the scope of local manufacturing, increase production capacity, and leverage Egypt's strategic location to support export plans to neighboring markets."
